Activity Overview
Join us for an evening of exploration at Yarramundi Reserve South, where Scouts will discover the history of the Hawkesbury River and the Yarramundi area through fun, interactive activities.
The evening will include a nature-based scavenger hunt, teamwork challenges, and opportunities to learn about the local environment, First Nations history, and the significance of the river to the area.
Please note: This is a land-based activity only. We will not be entering the water at any time.
Preparation
No preparation is required before the activity.
Please ensure Scouts:
- Bring a torch.
- Dress appropriately for the weather, as we will be outdoors for the entire evening.
Clothing & Equipment
Please bring:
- Full Scout uniform
- Enclosed walking shoes suitable for uneven ground.
- Weather-appropriate clothing (warm layers and a waterproof jacket if required).
- A torch (head torch preferred).
- A filled water bottle.
- Insect repellent is recommended.
Travel Arrangements
Families are responsible for arranging their own transport.
Meeting Location:
Yarramundi Reserve South (Springwood Road side)
Please meet in the car park on the left-hand side of Springwood Road immediately after crossing the Yarramundi Bridge (Yarramundi side, not the Grose Vale side).
