Cub camp @ Springwood Scout Hall on Saturday night (20/6/26) and visit to Katoomba to see Katoomba lights.

Cubs to be dropped off at Springwood Scout Hall (7B Sir Henrys Parade, Faulconbridge NSW 2776) on Saturday (20th) at 2 pm and picked up on Sunday at 10 am.

We will catch the train from Faulconbridge Station at 15:48 to arrive at Katoomba station for 16:25.

Cubs will have takeaway dinner in Katoomba and walk down to the cliff top lights and follow the cliff top walk to Echo Point and then walk back to the station to catch the 20:38 train back to the Hall for supper (hot dogs) and bed.

We will provide breakfast in the morning with Cubs to be picked up from the hall at 10 am.

Cubs will need:

i) an opal card for the train;

ii) some money ($15) to get their take away in Katoomba;

iii) some snacks.

Cubs will need to bring:

i) for the hall - a sleeping bag, stretcher/camp mat, pyjamas, toiletries, an extra blanket and spare underclothes;

ii) for the walk - be in full uniform with a fleece jacket or warm jumper and have a rain coat, day pack, water bottle and head torch.

The cost for the hall, supper and breakfast is $20 to be paid to:

Parents and siblings are welcome to join us for the walk etc. but cannot stay overnight unless you are police checked, have your working with children check and are registered with NSW Scouts as an adult helper/leader etc.

Cubs if they are worried (or you are) about the overnight bit are more than welcome to come and do everything and then go home on the Saturday evening.

Everyone who is taking part must be registered.
