We offer a wide range of outdoor activities – For youth aged 5 to 18.
At 1st Glossodia, we run 4 sections: Joeys (5 to 8 years); Cubs (7½ to 11 years); Scouts (10½ to 15 years) and Venturers (14½ to 18). . Joeys, Cubs and Scouts all run on Thursdays. And the Venturers meet on Wednesday nights.
All at our Scout Hall (at the Corner Creek Ridge Road & Lamrock Avenue in Glossodia) ot "out and about".
We are a family-oriented Group; we focus highly on giving the kids an attractive program where having fun whilst learning is key. The activities range from games, outdoor activities, wide range of different themed nights and much more. All following the Scout method of learning whilst doing.
Besides the weekly meeting nights, often (outdoor) weekend activities and camps are organised. With our own kids, with other Groups from our District or even with all members in NSW and Australia. To make Scouting most beneficial, we encourage youth members to participate in as much (weekend) activities as possible.
Joining can be done at any time of the year. Basically, you come along for 4 weeks to give it a try; only after this trial period you decide if you wish your child to become a “real” member of our group.
Joeys (5 - 8 y/o) --> Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm
Cubs (7½ - 11 y/o) --> Thursdays 7:00-8:30pm
Scouts (10½ - 15 y/o) --> Thursdays 7:00-9:00pm
Venturers (14½ - 18 y/o) --> Wednesdays 7:00-9:00pm
